We are very happy and excited to reveal our litterplans for the beginning of 2026. This will be our South African import Heddas second litter and sire will be the very nice and handsome Corrado. Corrado is a male born in 2021 in the Czech republic at kennel Gaudiwa Musana and was imported to Sweden as a puppy. He has been healthy and has a remarkable mentality as you can see for yourself in the video from his BPH. Corrado is very true to type with som really nice mentality traits such as calm and regal as well as a very goofy personality. He is forthcoming and open, is not very interested in strangers or in hunting game. He gets along well with other dogs – both males and females. Corrado gained his Swedish show champion title quickly and easily, and he hasn’t been shown much since. This will be Corrados first litter. Corrado is owned by Veronica Thorén at kennel Rex Ventors and is co-owned by and lives with Marie and Joel in the south of Sweden.

Hedda is a sweet girl with lots of energy. She loves attention in all forms whether it is showing, agility or just hang around at the stables with us. She is not afraid of anything and thinks life is a party. There isn’t much that bothers her. She is very interested in food and is easy and fun to train and work with.

When we searched for a male for Heddas second litter we knew what we were looking for. I have had an eye out for Corrado since he was a youngster and I met him at a few shows. He was not only handsome but also had a great character and personality. He also has a pedigree that is quite interesting. There are many nice dogs represented. His grand-father on his fathers side Hamnuddens Heskey for example. He was out of Ch Djungelkattens Imbue Ridged Isak who was the sire of my very first litter in 1996 and I obviously liked him a lot. Heskeys mum Isola was also a really great bitch out of Demi (Bearstar Diamond Willow) who I had the pleasure to know very well back in the day and she was a great bitch who did lots of good for the Swedish RR-population back in the days. This is just a nitpick, there are many more great dogs in Corrados pedigree. We also find that the dogs in Corrados pedigree aren’t overly used (which increases the genetic diversity) and that was also something we found positive.

We think Corrado will positively balance Hedda both mentally and physically and the greatest thing about this pairing is that we get a mentality-index with really great numbers. Also the COI for this litter is 0% over 5 generations. We expect puppies with truly excellent temperament, a lot of energy and a will to work – both with their bodies and their brains. They will most likely have moderate guarding instinct and prey drive. They will most likely, like most ridgebacks, be giant pains as puppies and youngsters and then one day they just grow up and become the best companions ever.

We expect Hedda to come in heat in november and therefore we hope to have puppies at the end of january/beginning of february with them ready to go to their new homes in the beginning of April 2026.
